Why Learn The Acoustic Guitar?

 

Acoustic guitar lessons are the most popular way to start learning!  If you choose to learn the acoustic, whether it's on a nylon stringed classical guitar or a steel string, you'll learn a wide range of different techniques.

You will learn music and techniques that suit your musical taste and ability - nearly every genre can be played on an acoustic guitar, so there's always something new to discover.

Buying a guitar is an investment, and if you've always wanted to try, but you've never been sure if you want to go out and buy one straight away, that's okay!  For you first lesson, you can try out playing on one of mine.  If you like it, you can decide what guitar you'd like to get from there. 

​

Theory is an important part of learning any instrument, but I like to make the lessons more about the playing and learning the theory behind it as we progress - I find this the lessons much more enjoyable!

 

During lessons I'll provide you with a range of different teaching materials like music, chord sheets etc... Anything we look at in the lesson, you'll get a copy of to take home and practice - I recommend keeping a folder to keep it all organised in!
