ELECTRIC GUITAR LESSONS
Why Learn The Electric Guitar?
In my opinion, the electric guitar is the most expressive musical instrument that there is. It ranges from being able to play some of the most heart-wrenching solos like 'Comfortably Numb' by Pink Floyd, to playing fast paced metal riffs like 'The Trooper' by Iron Maiden. It can do it all! That's why, for me and many others, it's the most fun and satisfying instrument to play.

With the electric guitar, you have much more versatility than you do with an acoustic guitar. You've got more frets for one! More options for your tone though the guitar and amplifier - clean or distorted - and the strings are even easier to press down and bend. You'll learn an array of different techniques - including bends, hammer-ons and pull-offs - as well as many different songs.

Like any hobby, it's difficult to decide whether you'd like to spend on something and commit to it before you've had the chance to try it out. So, for you first lesson, I'll be able to provide you with a guitar to get you started. You'll be able to get a feel for it and decide whether you'd like to get your own electric guitar and amplifier. For the lessons after that, all you need to do is bring your electric guitar and I'll provide you with a lead and the amplifier. If you already have your own electric, that's even better! Just bring that with you and I'll provide the rest.

Theory is an important part of learning any instrument, but I like to make the lessons more about the playing and learning the theory behind it as we progress - I find this the lessons much more enjoyable!
During lessons I'll provide you with a range of different teaching materials like music, chord sheets etc... Anything we look at in the lesson, you'll get a copy of to take home and practice - I recommend keeping a folder to keep it all organised in!
